If you were ever interested in becoming part of the Lion’s Club-which developed a sight-related mission at the behest of Helen Keller- and you are in the WA area July 4-8, then the 94th Lions Clubs International Convention is the place to be. Aside from the fact that there will be a long list of interesting big names speaking at the convention and an endless number of activities on the convention schedule, there will be a lot of discussions about how to connect with the Lions Club, what membership through service is, much more.
There will also be a showing of the movie Going Blind directed by Joe Lovett who has personally experienced a significant loss of vision. Going Blind is
a unique documentary film that increases public awareness of sight loss and low vision issues profoundly affecting the lives of more and more people and those who love them.
