Library of Congress-sponsored App Offers Free Talking Books

nls_home_bannerBARD Mobile is a service of the National Library Service for the Blind and Physically Handicapped (NLS), a division of the National Library Service. The application provides access to talking and braille books directly from the NLS Braille and Audio Reading Download (BARD)

Users must first be registered with a braille and talking book library that is within the NLS network. To register, you must be unable to read regular print as a result of a vision or physical disability.

Available for both IOS and Android, this free, innovative app allows the user full access to almost 50,000 books, magazines, and music scores, with more being added daily.  You can add books to your wish list using the app, and also access wish lists created on the BARD website. Check it out!
